Financial terms of the have not been disclosed. Symphony Healthcare Holdings Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Symphony International Holdings, is to invest USD50 million to acquire a non-controlling minority shareholding in Integrated Healthcare Hastaneler Turkey Sdn Bhd (IHT). IHT is the controlling shareholder of Acibadem Saglik Yatirimlari Holding AS (ASYH) and is owned by Integrated Healthcare Holdings Sdn Bhd (Integrated Healthcare), the healthcare subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah), the investment holding arm of the government of Malaysia. Allied Oil & Gas Services, a cementing and acidizing business headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, has been acquired by Intervale Capital, a private equity firm focused on investments in middle-market oilfield services companies. With locations in Kansas, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, Allied provides cementing and acidizing services to customers in the Mid-Continent and Marcellus Shale regions. Allied has a broad customer base of exploration and production companies and has distinguished itself as a provider of choice over its 45 year operating history. Private equity firm Warburg Pincus has acquired majority ownership in FacilitySource, a provider of facility maintenance and management solutions to retailers and other multi-site operators. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. FacilitySource manages over 60,000 facilities worldwide via an elite service provider network, representing over USD1 billion in aggregated spend each year. A company owned by Permira, the European private equity firm, has successfully completed the acquisition of Genesys, a global expert in contact centre technology software, from Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU). Technology Crossover Ventures and certain co-investors of the Permira funds also participated in the transaction. The transaction values the company at USD1.5 billion. Domo, a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) venture launched by Omniture co-founder Josh James, has closed USD20 million in Series A-1 funding from Institutional Venture Partners (IVP). Better Capital has sold MentecPlus Integrated Solutions Limited (MentecPlus), a company within the BECAP Fund LP (the 2009 Fund) investment portfolio, to UNIT4 Business Software Holding BV (UNIT4), a NYSE Euronext-listed company. MentecPlus was acquired as part of the Calyx group of ICT managed services companies in September 2010. As the authorised distributor in Ireland for the Agresso Business World suite of business software products, MentecPlus has a long-established relationship with UNIT4 (the author of Agresso). MentecPlus, with 167 customers, is a leading provider of business software solutions to both SMEs and Public Sectors in the Republic and Northern Ireland.

Fund administrator GlobeOp is to be acquired by private equity firm TPG Capital in a deal worth around GBP508 million (USD800 million). The deal follows GlobeOp’s announcement on 6 January 2012 that it was carrying out a review of its ‘strategic options’ and will see Geo 3, a newly established partnership directly owned by TPG Partners VI-AIV, acquire 100 per cent of the ‘issued and to be issued share capital of GlobeOp’.
