New York-based private equity firm New Mountain Capital has made an offer to acquire roughly two-thirds of shares it does not already own in R1 RCM, a provider of healthcare sector revenue cycle management services, in a take-private deal valued at $5.8bn, according to a report by Stat citing regulatory filings.
Global buyout major KKR is closing in on a deal to acquire Broadcom’s VMware end user compute (EUC) business for around $3.8bn, following Broadcom’s $69bn purchase of VMWare last year, according to a report from Reuters.
Dallas-based private equity firm CenterOak Partners has sold SurfacePrep, a global distributor of surface enhancement solutions, to Rhode Island-based middle-market private equity firm Nautic Partners, marking CenterOak’s second exit in 2024 following that of CollisionRight last month. 
Phoenix Equity Partners, a growth-focused private equity firm, has sold Global Freight Solutions, an enterprise carrier management company, to e-commerce fulfilment specialist International Logistics Group, part of the Yusen Logistics/NYK group of companies.
Redwheel, an independent investment manager specialising in active equities and convertible bonds, has partnered with Turquoise, a UK financial advisor and investor in climate technologies, to launch a growth-stage UK climate tech venture fund. 
Los Angeles-based private equity firm Levine Leichtman Capital Partners has acquired USA Water, a Texas-based provider of operations and maintenance services for water and wastewater systems, from Florida-based private equity firm Warren Equity Partners.  
Investment bank and financial advisory firm Brown Gibbons Lang & Company has sold Crest Foods, a portfolio company and food manufacturer, to Harwood Private Equity, an investor in lower middle market companies across food and beverage, life sciences, precision manufacturing, media and healthcare services. 
Private equity firms Apogee Global and EiM Capital have agreed to a joint acquisition of the European hydraulics business of US manufacturer Dana Incorporated (formerly Brevini Fluid Power), which they intend to combine with HPI, a French producer of hydraulic components. 
Hyperion Equity Partners, a mid-market private equity firm specialising in buy-and-build strategies, has launched Ranger Fire & Security, following its acquisition of two UK fire and security businesses, Ignis Fire Protection and Amerex Fire International. 
Lagos-based private equity firm CardinalStone Capital Advisers has sold its stake in i-Fitness Nigeria, a health and wellness business, to $360m West Africa-based private equity firm Verod Capital Management, via its CardinalStone Capital Advisers Growth Fund.
