Graphite Capital, a UK mid-market private equity specialist, has agreed to back the management buyout of Digital Space from Horizon Capital. Terms of the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, have not been disclosed.
Digital Space provides an integrated connectivity, security and hybrid cloud managed service, underpinned by its own datacentres, core network and network operations centre. The company works with organisations looking to improve their operational workflow and accelerate growth through digital transformation.
Digital Space’s services are aimed at medium to large corporations as well as public sector and not-for-profit bodies with 500 to 5,000 staff. The
New York-based investment company KKR & Co Inc (KKR) has acquired 30% of the shares of Norwegian telecommunications company Telenor. The agreed sales price represents an enterprise value for the Norwegian fibre business of NOK36.1 billion (GBP300 million).
GP Bullhound has participated in a £93m Series C fundraising in Connex One, a cloud-based Customer Engagement Platform. The investment, made from GP Bullhound’s Fund V, will enable the company to continue to scale its global operations and further establish its position as a market leader.

MidOcean Energy, a portfolio company of private equity investor EIF, has acquired interests in four liquid natural gas (LNG) projects in Australia from Tokyo Gas Co Ltd for a combined $2.2 billion, according to a report by MarketWatch.
The deal, which marks the launch MidOcean’s strategy to construct a diversified, global pure-play, integrated LNG company, includes ownership stakes in Gorgon LNG, Ichthys LNG, Pluto LNG and Queensland Curtis LNG.

Brookfield Asset Management is to acquire a significant minority interest in independent publisher Primary Wave Music in a deal valued in excess of $2 billion, according to a report by PE Insights.
US private equity firm EnCap Investments is considering options to sell two bundles of oil and gas assets in Texas, raising more than $6 billion, Bloomberg has reported.
Hong Kong based buyout firm Affinity Equity Partners is in advanced talks with Brookfield Asset Management to acquire Hong Kong-based clothing label maker Trimco Group, valuing the company as much as $1 billion, Bloomberg has reported.
An agreement could be reached in the next few weeks, the report said quoting sources.
Affinity has been exploring a sale of Trimco earlier this year after receiving takeover interest. The source said Brookfield has outbid other private equity firms for the deal.
