US private equity firm EnCap Investments is considering options to sell two bundles of oil and gas assets in Texas, raising more than $6 billion, Bloomberg has reported.
Hong Kong based buyout firm Affinity Equity Partners is in advanced talks with Brookfield Asset Management to acquire Hong Kong-based clothing label maker Trimco Group, valuing the company as much as $1 billion, Bloomberg has reported. An agreement could be reached in the next few weeks, the report said quoting sources. Affinity has been exploring a sale of Trimco earlier this year after receiving takeover interest. The source said Brookfield has outbid other private equity firms for the deal. Chicago-based private equity firm Wind Point Partners has acquired fresh food distributor FreshEdge from lower mid-market buyout house Rotunda. FreshEdge distributes fresh produce and specialty foods to both foodservices and retail customers in the Midwest and Southeast of America. It currently operates 800,000 square feet of warehouse space and a fleet of approximately 830 trucks.  Wind Point will provide capital and strategic support for FreshEdge to accelerate organic growth through investments in fresh cut processing capabilities, expanded warehouse space and enhanced infrastructure, as well as pursue strategic acquisitions to enhance its geographical footprint. Technology-focused buyout house Francisco Partners has agreed to carve out HR administration platform bswift from CVS Health. Founded in 1996, bswift provides software and services that streamline benefits and human resources administration through a cloud-based technology platform. It helps customers and employers simplify administration, manage employee benefits, reduce administrative costs and connect employees with resources needed to achieve their health ambitions. CVS Health and its affiliate Aetna will remain customers of bswift. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
