Capital on Tap has secured a £200 million funding facility with JP Morgan and Triple Point to support UK small businesses. The funding will help small businesses access credit at a time when the UK is anticipating a recession and facing historic inflation rates.
Thoma Bravo is closing in on a deal to acquire aerial imagery company Nearmap Ltd for AUD1.06 billion ($728.5 million), according to a report by Reuters.
The AUD2.10-per-share offer submitted last month represents a premium of nearly 39% to the stock’s closing price on 12 Aug, a day before the offer was disclosed.
Shares of Nearmap jumped 5.9% to AUD2.08, their highest level since November 2021, after news of the all-cash deal broke. The company’s shares have slumped by more than half since hitting a peak in 2019.

Ayesa, a portfolio company of A&M Capital Europe (AMCE), is to acquire Ibermática, a Spanish IT services firm, from ProA Capital and the remaining minority shareholders, including ONCE and Kutxabank.
The transaction is expected to close in the coming months following approval by the relevant authorities. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1973, Ibermática is widely considered the premier IT services provider for large corporates in Spain and counts many IBEX 35 companies as clients. New State Capital Partners (New State) has acquired AFIMAC Global Inc (AFIMAC), a provider of specialty business continuity solutions, including staffing, security, and logistics, as a carve-out from its parent company Dalton First Financial Inc.
Joe Schollaert will continue to serve as AFIMAC’s president and chief executive officer.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
AFIMAC’s clients include a diverse range of Fortune 500 companies across end markets such as food and beverage, consumer, business services, and specialty manufacturing.

LDC has made an £18 million minority investment in TMC Pharma Services (TMC), a global pharmaceutical development organisation that specialises in innovative treatments for rare diseases and oncology.
The mid-market private equity firm is backing the existing TMC management team, led by Co-Founder and CEO Julie Matthews and COO Carol Woodward. Its minority investment will help TMC to further expand into the US and Asia markets. The business also plans to double the number of full-time employees it has over the next five years and open new offices in key international markets.
