Munich-based EGYM, a portfolio company of HPE Growth, has acquired the Paris-headquartered Gymlib for a high double-digit million purchase price. Over the last five years HPE Growth has supported EGYM in becoming Germany’s leading provider of corporate fitness solutions with its qualitrain brand. EGYM relies on a fast-growing customer base of circa 3,600 corporate customers, whose employees have access to over 5,500 top-quality fitness facilities across Germany. The acquisition will combine these customers with Gymlib’s 600 corporate customers and 4,300 fitness facilities across France and Belgium.
Cennox, a portfolio company of York Capital Management’s private equity group (York Private Equity), has acquired a group of Dutch-based companies including, Lincsafe, Merlin, Cashtester and Secusystems. The transaction includes all staff and facilities, with Ron van Veenendaal, founder and Managing Director of the companies, joining the Cennox Operating Board.  Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Groundworks, which secured a significant growth capital investment from private equity firm Cortec Group’s Cortec Group Fund VII, in January 2020, has acquired Peak Structural (Peak). This is the tenth deal acquisition completed by Groundwork’s since Cortec’s investment. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.    Founded in 2002 by Paul and Lisa Sutton, Peak serves the single-family residential market in Denver and Colorado Springs with a suite of services including foundation repair, concrete lifting, crawlspace encapsulation, basement waterproofing and other related services.  
CI Partners-backed Patriot Growth Insurance Services (Patriot) has partnered  with Business Benefits Group (BBG) in Virginia, along with BBG’s subsidiary, Incisive Financial Group (IFG). The move extends Patriot’s footprint into the important Virginia and District of Columbia marketplaces. BBG is one of the largest remaining independent insurance agencies in the region.   BBG provides employee benefits, property and casualty insurance, retirement benefits, wealth management services, human resources, compliance, and benefits technology services. BBG has experienced extraordinary organic growth over the last several years, and their investments in talent, tools and business solutions have them well-positioned to continue this impressive growth.
Cooee, an AI platform that helps mobile apps boost customer retention with personalised engagement, has received £300,000 in pre-seed funding from investors including Jenson Funding Partners, the venture capital firm, as well as several angel investors from the United States, India and UK.
Alete Bikes, a portfolio company of Trilantic Europe, private equity firm focused on mid-market transactions in Europe, is to acquire Cicli Esperia. The Zanaga and the Turato families, founders of Cicli Esperia, will become minority shareholders of Alete Bikes. Cicli Esperia, based in Cavarzere (Italy), is a manufacturer of bikes and e-bikes. The company has a wide range of products and operates through four main brands: Cicli Esperia, Legnano, Torpado and Fondriest. In 2021, Cicli Esperia generated revenues of €37 million.
TPG Growth, the middle market and growth equity platform of alternative asset firm TPG, has acquired a majority stake in Morrow Sodali, a global shareholder engagement and governance advisory firm.
Providence Equity Partners (Providence), a private equity firm that specialises in growth-oriented investments in media, communications, education and technology is to acquire Airties, a provider of cloud-based managed Wi-Fi solutions to operators globally. Providence’s investment will assist Airties with accelerating growth into new markets globally, as well as funding additional R&D and product innovation to continue delivering superior connectivity, and expanding its sales, marketing, and recruitment efforts globally. As sector-focused investors with a history of partnering with innovative telecoms and technology companies, Providence is well-positioned to harness its expertise, network and resources to support Airties as it enters a transformative
One Equity Partners (OEP), a middle market private equity firm, is to sell Rizing LLC (Rizing), a leading SAP-focused provider of IT systems integration and implementation services, to Wipro Limited, a multinational IT services and consulting company. Headquartered in Stamford, Conn., Rizing specialises in value-added products and IT business process solutions operating within the SAP ecosystem, including enterprise asset management, human capital management, and related IT solutions for clients in consumer industries. Rizing serves leading global customers with more than 1,250 employees around the world working from locations in the US, Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore
Conjura, an e-commerce data analytics platform, has raised €15 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Act Venture Capital and MiddleGame Ventures. Tribal VC also participated in the round.  Conjura will use the capital to enhance its e-commerce solutions to address the sector’s ever-increasing digital needs in a multi-product solution. The company also announced plans to broaden its UK and Ireland operations and expand into several international markets simultaneously.
