Pay2Day Solutions (Authvia) has closed a $7 million Series A financing led by Red Door Capital Partners (Red Door), an independent private equity firm.
Omaha National Group, a tech-enabled provider of workers’ compensation insurance, has secured a $20 million unsecured senior debt financing facilitated by Cohen & Co, a financial services company specialising in fixed income markets.
The notes carry a fixed rate of 6.8% with a 10-year term.
This latest funding follows Omaha National’s $45 million Series B round in 2021, which was led by Accomplice and included investors High Sage Ventures and Tull Investments. Agman, a Chicago-based investment firm, remains the principal and founding investor.
ModusBox, an infrastructure and integration technology company for financial services, has closed a $7.5 million Series A funding round led by Patamar Capital, a social impact fintech venture fund.
Choice Bank co-led the round while BankTech Ventures and American Capital Partners also participated.
ModusBox will use the new funds to accelerate the development of its PortX products, drive key partnerships with advanced fintech solutions, and continue its contributions to the Mojaloop real-time payments ecosystem. The funds will also scale the company’s recruiting, marketing, customer success, and engineering groups as ModusBox responds to rapidly growing demand.
Global investment firm KKR is to make a tender offer for the common shares of Hitachi Transport System Ltd (HTS) through HTSK Co, Ltd, an entity owned by the investment funds managed by KKR.
Hitachi Transport System is a specialist in the third-party logistics business (3PL) in Japan. The Company provides supply chain solutions for customers who outsource logistics functions such as logistics system integration, inventory and order control, logistics centre operations, factory logistics, and transportation and delivery services.

Actis, a global investor in sustainable infrastructure, has agreed to sell Solenergi Power Private Limited, the flagship company for its Sprng Energy platforms (Sprng), one of India’s largest renewable energy companies, to Shell Overseas Investments (Shell) for $1.55 billion.
Sprng Energy supplies solar and wind power to electricity distribution companies in India.
Sprng is an Actis Energy 4 fund investment. In October 2021 Actis announced its latest fund, Actis Energy 5, had closed with US$6 billion of investable capital, which will be used to mobilise further capital towards the global energy transition.
The transaction is subject to regulatory clearance
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (Freshfields) has appointed Rebecca Ward, a private equity specialist, as a partner in the firm’s Financial Sponsors group.
Ward will further strengthen Freshfields’ world-class Financial Sponsor offering, which is one of the firm’s core growth areas and experiencing growing client demand. She brings significant experience advising some of the most sophisticated private equity firms on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.
Ward will join Freshfields after seventeen years at Dickson Minto, a boutique law firm specialising in private equity, where she spent the last nine years as partner.
DigitalBridge Investments, an affiliate of DigitalBridge Group, is to acquire AMP Capital’s global infrastructure equity investment management business, part of its Collimate Capital subsidiary, in a transaction valued at $328 million, comprising upfront payments for the management platform, fund sponsor investments, and retained performance fees, plus potential contingent payments based on certain future performance thresholds.
AMP Capital’s international infrastructure equity platform comprises four investment funds with $5.5 billion in fee-earning assets under management, including the $3.4 billion Global Infrastructure Fund II (GIF II) and $1.4 billion Global Infrastructure Fund I (GIF I).

Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), a private equity firm based in St Louis, has completed the sale of LTP Home Services Group (LTP), a residential plumbing and HVAC services platform, to L Catterton, a global consumer-focused private equity firm.
TSCP will retain a board seat and minority stake in the Company. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
