Kayne Partners Fund, the growth private equity group of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, has led a USD50 million Series B Funding round in KlearNow, a smart Logistics as a Service (LaaS) specialist founded in 2018.
Existing investors including GreatPoint Ventures, Argean Capital, and Autotech Ventures also participated along with new investor Activate Capital.

SCF Partners (SCF) has invested in Powerstar EMSc (UK) Ltd (Powerstar), a provider of power resiliency, microgrids, and energy efficiency equipment to customers worldwide.
Dr Alex Mardapittas, Powerstar’s founder and CEO, will continue to serve in his current role as the company enters its next phase of growth.

QueryLayer, a no-code privacy operations platform for digital enterprises, has raised EUR2 million in seed funding in a round led by Nauta Capital.
The company, which was founded last year in Valencia (Spain), has previously raised a pre-seed round from Seedcamp and Martin Henk, the co-founder of Pipedrive. Forterro, a European provider of ERP software solutions to nearly 8,000 mid-market manufacturing and production companies, has acquired myfactory, a provider of cloud-based ERP software to more than 2,000 wholesalers and manufacturers in DACH.
The acquisition expands Forterro’s total addressable market in DACH, and nearly doubles the number of customers served by the group in the region.
myfactory will operate as a standalone business within Forterro. David Lauchenauer, CEO of myfactory, will continue overseeing the business in the role of general manager with the support of his existing management team.
Clearlake Capital Group is to sell Proven Brands and KTB Foods to The Hain Celestial Group (Hain Celestial) for approximately USD259 million.

Perseus Group SA (Perseus) has secured senior and mezzanine facilities totalling EUR93 million. The loans, from funds managed and advised by Cheyne Capital (Cheyne), will be used to finance the conversion of the Hôtel du Couvent in Nice and refinance the existing debt of the Hotel Le Pigalle in Paris.
The financing has enabled the successful exit of Platina International (Platina), Perseus’s long-term investor, which has been supporting the group since 2011. Valéry Grégo, Perseus’s founder and CEO, becomes majority shareholder.
