Thymia has raised a GBP780k/USD1.1 million in a pre-seed round to scale its platform to assess for and monitor depression.  The Thymia technology removes the subjectivity from mental health assessments: instead of answering questionnaires, patients play specially designed video games which use cutting-edge Neuropsychology, Linguistics and Machine Learning to detect signs of depression, as well as monitor whether symptoms are improving or worsening over time.  Through its online platform, Thymia is aiming to empower clinicians to make faster and more accurate clinical decisions by making mental illness as objectively measurable as visible physical conditions. CAPZA has acquired a majority stake in Web Geo Services, a French API platform publisher and Google Maps’ partner operating in the booming “Location Based Services (LBS)” market. Founded in 2009, Web Geo Services has built its reputation by becoming the Google Maps No1 Partner and reseller of Google Maps Platform in Europe. The company focuses on five sectors: Retail, Finance, e-business, Smart Mobility, and Travel & Hospitality. Web Geo Services has also developed its own proprietary platform, “Woosmap”, a set of independent APIs dedicated to B2B2C business use cases: store locator, geofencing, data search, payment transaction cleaning, etc. Web
Digital training platform Virti has raised USD10 million in a Series A to further its goal of improving human performance using world-class interactive technology. The round was led by deeptech investors IQ Capital and joined by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a new, UK-based learning technology VC fund. Launched in 2018 by Dr Alexander Young – an NHS trauma and orthopaedic surgeon – Virti helps organisations optimise learning, training and performance using interactive simulations and AI-powered data analysis. The technology turns traditionally subjectively-assessed skills (such as communication, teamwork and decision-making under pressure) into objective and measurable data to improve performance. The
Shamrock Capital, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, is selling its ownership stake in Mobilitie, the largest privately-held wireless infrastructure firm in the nation, to global communications infrastructure provider, BAI Communications (BAI). BAI’s acquisition of Mobilitie is a significant move towards becoming one of the leading connected infrastructure 5G players in North America, and globally. The deal combines Mobilitie’s extensive assets and operations across 5G outdoor and indoor wireless infrastructure, proven experience in small cell deployment, and work with transit operators across major US cities with BAI’s long-standing proven expertise in delivering communications infrastructure in dense urban and transit environments.
