Polaris Private Equity is to divest Danish ferry operator Molslinjen A/S to EQT Infrastructure. Molslinjen has developed strongly under Polaris’ ownership since 2015 and expanded the business on the back of significant investments.Since 2015, Molslinjen has expanded from two to nine ferry routes and increased the fleet from three to 15 vessels, which serve up to eight million passengers annually. Molslinjen is today the largest domestic ferry company in Denmark with routes between Jutland and Zealand as well as ferry connections to and from Bornholm, Langeland, Als, Fanø and Samsø as well as Sweden and Germany. OpenFin, the operating system (OS) of finance, has secured a strategic investment from SC Ventures, the innovation, fintech investment and ventures arm of international banking group, Standard Chartered. The capital will accelerate new product development and brings OpenFin’s total funding to date to USD50 million. Upvest, a Berlin-based startup offering the first plug-and-play pan-European securities API, has secured an additional EUR5 million in funding. The latest financing round was led by Earlybird and ensured the close of the Series A+. This additional funding follows an initial EUR7 million investment from Notion Capital, HV Capital and Partech.
