ECI Partners, a UK-based growth-focused, mid-market private equity firm, has held the final closing of its twelfth buyout fund, ECI 12 at its hard cap of £1bn, in excess of the fund’s original target of £900m.
The fund achieved a re-up rate of circa 95% from existing ECI limited partners, and attracted around £300m in new capital from North American pension plans, and European foundations, as well as capital commitments from Asia.
The fund, which is over 40% bigger than ECI’s previous £700m ECI 11 fund, was significantly oversubscribed at final close and is the firm’s largest investment vehicle to date.
