Entrepreneurial Equity Partners and Mubdala Capital Private Equity invest in Mercer Foods and Thrive Foods

Entrepreneurial Equity Partners (e2p), a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on the food and consumer packaged goods industries, and the Private Equity business of Mubadala Capital, an Abu Dhabi-based asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, have completed an investment in Mercer Foods (Mercer) and Thrive Foods (Thrive). 

Entrepreneurial Equity Partners (e2p), a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on the food and consumer packaged goods industries, and the Private Equity business of Mubadala Capital, an Abu Dhabi-based asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, have completed an investment in Mercer Foods (Mercer) and Thrive Foods (Thrive). 

The combination of the two businesses creates a North American market leader in freeze-dried products. The new platform will serve a variety of end markets, including fruits and vegetables, proteins, pet treats, probiotics, enzymes, and prepared meals. 

Financial terms of the transactions have not been disclosed.
