Foresight Group exits Northern Irish private hospital group Kingsbridge

Private equity and infrastructure investment manager Foresight Group has exited Kingsbridge Healthcare Group, the largest private hospital group in Northern Ireland.

Founded in 2005 as 3fivetwo Healthcare, Kingsbridge currently has four hospitals (three in Northern Ireland and one in County Sligo, Ireland). The group offers orthopaedic, cataract, urology and cosmetic surgeries, as well as operating clinics for prostate conditions and sports injuries, private GP services and diagnostics including MRI, CT and ultrasound scans.

Foresight first invested in Kingsbridge in 2019 and oversaw its growth to around 1,000 staff, the expansion of services and facilities as well as the acquisition of North West Independent Hospital in Ballykelly. Kingsbridge’s revenues more than doubled and EBITDA increased tenfold during Foresight’s investment, according to a statement.

Earlier this month, Foresight completed a £4.45m investment into DP Medical Systems, a UK distributor of medical equipment and consumables.

Foresight’s previous investments in the healthcare sector include healthcare services provider ABL Health and MI Healthcare, a provider of service and maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment. Current ones include Hospital Services Limited, a distributor of medical supplies, surgical equipment and consumable products; Hexarad, a teleradiology provider; and Homelink, a provider of at-home hospital and virtual ward services.

Foresight has offices in Dublin and Belfast. The firm is actively investing across Ireland.
