Resource Partners, a consumer-focused private equity group in Central and Eastern Europe, has held the first closing of its third fund – Resource Eastern European Partners III SCA SICAV-RAIF (REEEP III) – which has a target size of €200 million. The first investment of the newly established vehicle will be Deeper UAB, a global leader in the castable sonar market that is supported by Resource Partners since mid-2021. REEEP III will continue the investment strategy of its predecessors, supporting private consumer-focused companies with equity tickets in the range of €5-30 million. International private equity firm, Cinven, has held the final close of its inaugural Strategic Financials Fund (SFF) with €1.5 billion of total capital commitments. The SFF builds on Cinven’s leading financial services investment platform in Europe with an investment strategy focused on areas where Cinven has developed significant investment expertise, such as life and non-life insurance and reinsurance, asset-backed speciality finance, wealth management, insurance distributors and other ‘capital light’ financial service providers. Lightspeed Venture Partners (Lightspeed) has closed Lightspeed Venture Partners XIV-A/B (Fund XIV) with $1.98 billion, Lightspeed Venture Partners Select V (Select Fund V) with $2.26 billion, and Lightspeed Opportunity Fund II (Opportunity Fund II) with $2.36 billion of committed capital. Apera Asset Management (Apera), a pan-European mid-market private debt investor, has completed fundraising for the Apera Private Debt Fund II (Fund II) and associated vehicles, with total investible capital of €1.27 billion. Apera’s Private Debt strategy focuses on senior secured unitranche financings across Europe.  The raised capital exceeds the initial target of €800 million and reflects the quality of Apera’s investment platform and performance in the provision of private credit across its core European geographies. Motive Partners (Motive), a specialsed private equity firm focused on financial technology, has held the successful final close of its second flagship fund, Motive Capital Fund 2, with total capital commitments of $2.54 billion for the Fund and its affiliated co-investment vehicles.

Headline, a tech-enabled global venture capital firm, has closed $954 million in new capital across three distinct early-stage funds: Headline US VII, a $408 million North America-focused fund based out of San Francisco; Headline EU VII, a €320 million pan-Europe-focused fund based out of Berlin; and Headline Brazil III, a BRL915 million Latin America-focused fund based out of São Paulo. Founded in 1999, Headline will use these three new funds to continue to utilise its global team and an data-informed investment approach to identify, track, and invest in the fastest growing early-stage technology companies at the Seed and Series A.
RCP Advisors, a sponsor of private equity funds-of-funds, secondary funds, and co-investment funds focused on North American lower middle market buyouts, has held the final closing of RCPDirect IV (the Fund). The Fund was oversubscribed, with approximately $645.4 million in aggregate commitments, exceeding its target of $500 million.  The Fund has a broad LP base of both new and existing investors, including endowments, foundations, public pension plans, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.  RCPDirect IV will continue the same investment strategy employed by RCP’s previous co-investment funds and will generally partner with lead buyout fund managers who raise funds between $100
Barings has completed fundraising for its European Private Loan Fund and associated vehicles, attracting total investable capital of €7 billion. Barings has drawn interest from a global investor base, a mix of public and private pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and family offices. Barings saw support from both new and existing investors with more than two thirds of commitments raised from investors in prior funds.   The €7 billion raised exceeded Barings’ initial target.
