KKR has held the final closing of KKR North America Fund XIII (NAX3) with a record $19 billion in capital commitments.
Coral Tree Management (Coral Tree), an investment firm focused on partnering with growth-oriented businesses within the media, entertainment, communications, and related business services sectors, has held the final close of its first fund, Coral Tree Partners, with total committed capital of approximately $470 million. The Fund was significantly oversubscribed above its original hard cap and exceeded its target of $350 million.  The Fund received strong support from a range of high-quality institutional investors, including endowments, foundations, insurance companies, pension plans, institutional family offices, and funds-of-funds. Growth Catalyst Partners (GCP), a middle market private equity firm that focuses on building information, marketing and tech-enabled services platform companies in growing vertical markets, has completed a final close for its second investment fund, GCP II, at its amended hard cap of $270 million. GCP II had a $200 million target and received limited partner commitments in excess of its hard cap.     GCP’s investor base is comprised of investors from a broad range of institutions, family offices and executives from GCP’s targeted sectors including management of its portfolio companies.  GCP II will seek to make control-oriented buyouts in
British Patient Capital has invested £20 million in Cambridge Innovation Capital’s (CIC) second investment vehicle (CIC II). CIC was launched in 2013 and invests in deep-tech and life sciences businesses that have a connection with the Cambridge ecosystem. The £20 million investment forms part of CIC II’s total fund size of £225 milion. The new fund will lead, or co-lead, investments in R&D intensive businesses across deep-tech and life sciences which have the potential to become global category leaders. Cambridge Innovation Capital (CIC), a venture capital investor focused on building world-leading deeptech and life sciences businesses connected with the Cambridge ecosystem, has raised £225 million ($300 million) for its oversubscribed second fund (Fund II). With Fund II, CIC now manages in excess of £500 million, giving it the scale to support its portfolio companies throughout their life cycle, providing investment capital as well as strategic and operational support.   Investors in Fund II include a geographically diverse group of around 50 institutional and strategic investors, with almost half of the capital raised having come from UK-based investors.
Private investment house Ardian has raised $5.25 bn for its latest infrastructure secondaries fund – Ardian Secondary Fund VIII Infrastructure (ASF VIII Infrastructure). The fund, which was significantly oversubscribed and reached its hard cap within nine months, is the largest infrastructure secondaries platform in the world. It represents a more than 3x increase from the previous generation raised in 2017. Cleantech-focused capital managers Cycle Capital and Demeter have held the first close of the new $160 million (€150 million) Circular Innovation Fund (CIF) with participation from anchor investor L’Oréal. Creator Fund, the early-stage VC fund investing in deeptech emerging from universities, has raised $20 million for a new fund. This bigger second fund will invest in the brightest scientific minds across the UK and help them scale businesses. TiLT Capital Partners energy transition-focused fund, TiLT Capital Fund I, has aheld its first close at €145 million in capital commitments, according to a report by AltAssets. European Investment Bank, the European Investment Fund and Bpifrance have all backed the fund, which will focus on investments related to energy efficiency, production, management and consumption.
