Monroe Capital (Monroe) has held the final close of its 2022 Monroe Capital Private Credit Fund IV (Fund) with $4.8 billion of investable capital, including targeted fund leverage and separately managed accounts investing alongside the fund. The fund has limited partner commitments with over 300 investors in 17 countries. The fund primarily targets private equity sponsored and non-sponsored, lower middle-market US companies with less than $35 million in EBITDA. The Fund received $2.3 billion of limited partner commitments, plus targeted leverage of $1.1 billion. In addition, it received $1.4 billion from separately managed accounts, including leverage. Kayne Anderson Private Credit (KAPC), the middle market private credit group of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, has closed the firm’s fourth middle market senior credit fund, Kayne Senior Credit Fund IV (KSCF IV). Over the last two years, KAPC has now raised over $4.5 billion of investable capital across Kayne Senior Credit Fund IV & IV-B, two private business development companies (BDC), separately managed accounts and other vehicles investing alongside the fund from a diverse group of leading institutional and individual investors including insurance companies, pension funds, foundations and endowments, family offices, and ultra-high-net worth.
Healthcare technology VC firm Flare Capital Partners has closed its third fund, Flare Capital Partners III, with a total of $350 million in committed capital. The significantly oversubscribed fundraise follows up on its prior two funds raised in July 2019 and the inaugural fund raised in April 2015, respectively. With the most recent fund, this establishes Flare Capital Partners as one of the largest, independent, early-stage venture capital firms dedicated to healthcare technology.
Ansa Capital, a new venture firm, has held the first close of its inaugural fund, which will focus on investments in emerging growth stage companies, at $100 million. The fund’s initial backers include institutions such as Princeton University’s endowment, Accolade Partners, Financial Investments Corporation, as well as individual investors Henry Kravis, George Roberts, and Peter Chernin.  Ansa is seeking to build a focused portfolio with targeted initial investments of $5 million to $15 million in companies that are pioneering new markets, reinventing distribution models, and modernising legacy systems. Gresham House’s first dedicated sustainable infrastructure strategy fund â€“ BSIF I â€“ is currently delivering a 21 per cent gross internal rate of return (IRR), more than double its target IRR. BSIF I reached a final close in May 2020 having reached its hard cap of £300 million.  It is backed by one UK Treasury and six UK local authority pension fund limited partners (LPs).   The BSIF strategy focuses on local and regional projects that deliver a positive social or environmental impact.
Conversus’ inaugural fund, Conversus StepStone Private Markets (CPRIM), has surpassed $500 million of assets under management (AUM). CPRIM, which offers accredited investors diversified, global exposure to the major private market asset classes—private equity, real assets, including infrastructure and real estate, and private debt—in a single investment, was launched on 1 October, 2020, achieving this AUM milestone within 18 months.  Conversus acts as adviser to CPRIM and is a wholly owned business of StepStone Group LP (StepStone), which acts as sub-adviser.
Circularity Capital, a circular economy growth investor, has held the oversubscribed final close of its second fund at €215 million. Circularity European Growth Fund II (CEGF) is three times arger than Circularity Capital’s debut fund of £60 million which closed in 2018 and makes it the largest specialist circular economy private equity fund across the globe.   CEGF II will continue Circularity Capital’s dedicated strategy to invest into circular economy growth-stage businesses in Europe.  The Circularity European Growth Fund II fundraise was advised by Rede Partners.
