Air Liquide has completed the sale of Aqua Lung, a specialist in personal aquatic equipment for recreational and professional use, to European private equity firm Montagu Private Equity.  Montagu will support Aqua Lung’s next phase of growth and enable the company to deliver on its strategy. Air Liquide is focused on its Gas & Services activities following the Group’s acquisition of Airgas, as well as on the implementation of its company program NEOS for the 2016-2020 period. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Finnish private equity group Intera Partners has closed its latest fund, Intera Fund III with capital commitments of EUR250 million.  Intera Partners had strong support from its existing investors and a select number of new investors to reach the Fund’s target size of EUR250 million. Clessidra and the Buccellati have sold an 85 per cent stake of Buccellati Holding Italia (Buccellati) to the Chinese conglomerate Gangtai Group. Clessidra and the Buccellati family will retain a 15 per cent stake in Buccellati. Buccellati, founded in Milan in 1919, is one of the most prestigious Italian jewellers. Two new white papers from State Street Corporation and the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) reveal changes in asset allocation among sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) over the past three to five years.
