Privaty equity firm CVC Capital Partners (CVC) is in exclusive discussions with Astorg Partners (Astorg) regarding the acquisition of Linxens. Headquartered in France, Linxens designs and manufactures smart card connectors.   Linxens has 1,100 employees, five manufacturing facilities and three research and development centres in Europe and Asia. The Company’s connector products are a vital component of smartcards, enabling the communication and transactions that are central to a wide range of consumer, financial and public sector applications, including banking cards, SIMs for mobile telephony, ID and health cards, to name a few.  
SL Capital Partners has agreed to acquire 100 per cent of Nordic Power AS from Nordkraft AS, the Narvik based energy group with interests in Northern Norway.   Nordkraft’s core business is the development, construction, production and distribution of natural renewable energy through hydropower and wind power. The Nordic Power portfolio of hydropower assets will be acquired by private markets specialist SL Capital, funded through SL Capital Infrastructure I (SLCI I), its infrastructure fund. The disposal provides Nordkraft with capital to continue its development program. SLCI I is focused on investing in core infrastructure assets in Europe and this acquisition

Allegion is to acquire, through its subsidiary Allegion Luxembourg Holding & Financing, SimonsVoss Technologies, a German-based electronic lock company, from HgCapital for EUR210 million. Global middle market investment bank Baird acted as the exclusive financial advisor to SimonsVoss Technologies and HgCapital on the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approvals. Lending Works, the first peer-to-peer lender to have insurance against borrower default risks including illness and loss of employment, has enjoyed a record first half to 2015.  Since its launch 18 months ago, Lending Works has lent over GBP10 million to thousands of borrowers around the UK. Kirkland & Ellis advised Palatine Private Equity on the recent closing of Palatine Private Equity Fund III.  The fund was oversubscribed and held a first and final closing at its hard cap with aggregate capital commitments of GBP220 million.   The fund, which will make investments in the UK regional lower mid-market, accepted commitments from a broad mix of global institutional investors, including endowments, foundations, insurance companies, family offices and fund of funds.
