Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy has advised IFM Investors on the acquisition of a 24.99 per cent equity stake in toll road operator Organizacion de Proyectos de Infraestructura (OPI). OPI is the parent company of Concesionaria Mexiquense (Conmex), the operator of the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense, a 110-km toll road system in Mexico City.  The final purchase price was MXN9,181 million (USD610 million). OmniVision Technologies is to be acquired by a consortium composed of Hua Capital Management Co, Ltd, CITIC Capital Holdings and GoldStone Investment.  Under the terms of the agreement, OmniVision stockholders will receive USD29.75 per share in cash, or a total of approximately USD1.9 billion. Merger and acquisition activity has held up in the UK during the first quarter of 2015 despite the uncertainty created by the election, according to the latest PCPI/PEPI Index from BDO Corporate Finance. London-listed private equity fund JZ Capital Partners has acquired SAC, an operational van leasing company based south of Copenhagen, Denmark. Led by CEO Rene Ubbesen, who has been with SAC and its predecessor company for over 20 years, SAC’s business model is based on flexible short and long term leases with an average lease period of approximately four years. SAC controls the full life cycle of its product, including procurement, financing, service & warranty and resale.  JZCP acquired 45 per cent of SAC through its EuroMicrocap Fund for approximately EUR2.8 million. Private equity fundraising through the first quarter is examined in this extract from the Preqin Quarterly Update: Private Equity, Q1 2015. Q1 2015 has seen a marked drop in the number of private equity funds closed, down from 324 in Q4 2014 to just 166 in the first quarter of the new year (Fig. 1).
