Thoma Bravo has sold portfolio company Digital Insight, a provider of digital banking capabilities to financial institutions, to NCR Corporation for USD1.65bn. Water Street Healthcare Partners has sold Massachusetts-based Medical Specialties Distributors (MSD) to New Mountain Capital.  Water Street partnered with MSD’s management team in 2010 to build the company into a leading distributor and solutions provider to the growing alternate-site home infusion therapy market.   MSD has achieved strong double-digit growth annually since Water Street invested in the company.  Working with management, Water Street developed and executed a strategic plan that expanded MSD’s capabilities and extended its offering into new markets as demand for intravenous (IV) therapy in the home increased.  In June 2013, MSD acquired Medical Technology Resources (MTR) to

EIG Global Energy Partners has held the final close of Energy Fund XVI, the firm's most recent flagship investment fund. Fund XVI is the largest fund in EIG's history and includes capital commitments from 150 limited partners from 18 countries.   Institutional investors domiciled outside the US represent more than 40 per cent of total capital commitments.   Launched in February 2013 with a target of USD4.25bn, Fund XVI had a first closing in May 2013 and reached its hard-cap of USD6bn (excluding affiliate investments) in connection with its final closing on 25 November 2013.   Fund XVI will continue
Ardian has sold its majority stake in Competence Call Center (CCC), a European provider of premium call centre solutions based in Vienna, to Silverfleet Capital. As part of the transaction, CCC’s management is re-investing in the company. The closing of the transaction is subject to the approval of the relevant antitrust authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price and other details of the transaction.   In 2009, Ardian acquired a majority stake in CCC to support the company’s international growth strategy. Headquartered in Buffalo, New York, U∙C Coatings manufactures and distributes wood protection products for the logging, lumber, furniture, and woodworking industries. The company’s flagship Anchorseal branded products are an industry leading line of wax based emulsion end sealers, designed to prevent splitting and degradation of freshly sawn, high value hardwood logs and lumber during processing.   The Company also offers GemPaint, a water-based paint used by lumber suppliers to brand their products and enhance overall appearance, as well as other related niche market wood protection products.

Wedo, the online furniture retailer, has completed GBP3m of funding, led by MMC Ventures. This follows the company’s initial seed funding in 2012, when Passion Capital and a selection of private equity investors came together to back Wedo and their vision of simple shopping.
