Kebony, an environmentally-friendly wood modification technology company, has raised EUR30 million in a funding round led by Jolt Capital and Lightrock.
Kebony’s vision is to reduce CO2 emissions and tropical deforestation using its patented wood modification techniques, which produce superior wood in an environmentally friendly way.
The Kebony technology permanently transforms sustainable wood species such as pine into Kebony wood with features that are comparable, and in some cases superior, to those of precious tropical hardwoods. This unique environmentally friendly process is also a superior alternative to traditional wood treatment based on impregnation with wood preservatives.
Kebony’s EUR30 million financing
Consulting company Silicom and e-learning SaaS platform Seela have announced their merger to create Pr0ph3cy Group (Pr0ph3cy), a provider of IT and cybersecurity services in France.
Pr0ph3cy will serve large private groups and government agencies to provide solutions for their critical security needs and will offer an e-learning platform aimed at upskilling or reskilling IT, network and cyber professionals.
By anchoring the Start-up mindset with a well-established SME in the French ecosystem, Silicom and Seela will demonstrate with this new group their ambition to actively participate in the emergence of European industrial sovereignty.

Filipino social entertainment platform Kumu has raised a Series C led by General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm with more than 40 years of experience scaling disruptive businesses internationally. Existing investors Openspace and SIG also participated.
This transaction marks the largest equity financing to date for a Filipino startup not founded as a subsidiary or spinoff of an established conglomerate. It also marks General Atlantic’s first investment in the Philippines.
