Victory Capital Holdings’ wholly owned operating subsidiary Victory Capital Management Inc is to acquire 100 per cent of New Energy Capital Partners (NEC). NEC will become Victory Capital’s 11th Investment Franchise and represents the Company’s first Franchise focusing exclusively on alternative investments. Founded in 2004 and based in Hanover, New Hampshire, NEC is a leading alternative asset management firm focused on debt and equity investments in clean energy infrastructure projects and companies. Trustmary, a testimonial marketing platform, has closed its first funding round of USD2.2 million to drive growth both in North America and Europe.  The investment will be used to further intensify the company’s market entry while also strengthening marketing and development teams in both the European headquarters in Finland and the US headquarters in Minneapolis.  Since the launch of the first SaaS product, the company has rapidly gained hundreds of customers from USA, Canada, Germany, Finland, and Sweden. Thomas H Lee Partners (THL), a premier private equity firm investing in growth companies, has acquired a majority interest in House of Design, a provider of robotic automation systems and software for the construction market.  THL’s investment will strengthen House of Design’s existing capabilities and provide capital and resources for future growth investments. House of Design’s co-founders will hold minority positions in the Company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Paragon Metals (Paragon) has completed a new investment by affiliates of Stellex Capital Management (Stellex), a middle market private equity firm.  This additional investment by Stellex follows its purchase of Paragon in early 2019, at which time Stellex committed to provide capital to support additional growth. Following the investment, Paragon will have an underleveraged balance sheet and significant liquidity. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Global fintech MODIFI has raised USD24 million in a Series B funding round, which brings its valuation to more than USD120 million.  The round was led by new investor Heliad Equity Partners with a co-investment from Neva SGR, the venture capital investment vehicle of Italy’s leading banking group Intesa San Paolo.
