RugsUSA, an e-commerce provider of area rugs and home décor products, has secured a growth investment Francisco Partners, a global investment firm that specialises in partnering with technology businesses. As part of the transaction, Comvest Partners, an operationally-focused private investment firm, will sell its majority position to Francisco Partners and retain a minority stake in the business. Falfurrias Capital Partners (FCP) has closed its latest, oversubscribed lower middle-market private equity fund, Falfurrias Capital Partners V, at USD850 million in investor commitments. The firm’s prior flagship fund, Falfurrias Capital Partners IV, totalled USD500 million and was raised in 2019.  In total, FCP has approximately USD1.9 billion under management. The Charlotte-based private equity firm, founded by former Bank of America CEO Hugh L McColl Jr, former Bank of America CFO Marc Oken, and Managing Partner Ed McMahan, will invest the proceeds of the fund in growth-oriented, lower middle-market businesses, leveraging the firm’s deep network of industry relationships, operational expertise,

Independent Iberian alternative assets manager GED Capital has added three new technology startups to the portfolio of its Conexo Ventures fund – Vonzu, Pridactect and Feedzai.  Conexo Ventures has injected EUR1.5 million into Vonzu, a software company for logistics and delivery.  Pridatect, meanwhile is a company in the Legal-Tech sector founded in 2017 that offers complete solutions for generating and maintaining all documentation and procedures relating to compliance with the new GDPR legal framework for agencies, consultancies, lawyers and data protection experts.   Feedzai, which a few months ago became the fourth Portuguese unicorn, after raising a funding round of
ARQIS has advised robotics company Agile Robots on its series C financing round which raised a total investment of EUD220 million.  The proceedings from this financing exercise will be mainly used for the company’s product development, series production, and global sales expansion. Agile Robots is now the first German unicorn in the robotics industry and has a valuation exceeding USD1 billion dollars globally.   The financing round is led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, followed by financial investors including but not limited to Chimera Investments under Abu Dhabi Royal Group, Hillhouse Group, Sequoia China and Linear Capital, and strategic investors

Visma, a provider of business-critical software to private and public companies in Europe, today announces that it has expanded its shareholder base through a secondary sale to leading institutional investors – Aeternum Capital, Government Pension Fund Norway (Folketrygdfondet), Vind, and GIC – valuing Visma at EUR16 billion (~NOK165 billion). 
Construction engineering specialist firm RDCP Infrastructure has acquired Gloucestershire-based Woodford Engineering for an undisclosed sum. RDCP Infrastructure is a part of the London-based investment firm RDCP Group, which controls USD250 million of investments in the UK. Insight Partners joins existing investors Francisco Partners and Great Hill Partners.
