Private market investors with USD2.3 trillion of assets including M&G, Neuberger Berman and Nuveen are, for the first time, requesting standardised environmental disclosure from over 1,000 privately held portfolio companies through CDP, the non-profit global environmental disclosure platform. The Duchossois Group, has agreed to sell The Chamberlain Group, a specialist in smart access solutions, to private equity funds managed by Blackstone (Blackstone) in a deal with a USD5 billion valuation. Blackstone is investing in Chamberlain Group through its core private equity strategy, which invests in high-quality, market-leading companies for longer periods than traditional private equity. Following the close of the transaction, Chamberlain Group will remain a privately held company headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois. As part of the agreement, The Duchossois Group will retain meaningful ownership in the Company and two seats on the Company’s Board of Directors
APG Group – acting on behalf of its Dutch pension fund clients – has signed an agreement to strengthen its existing partnership with SiFi Networks America Limited (SiFi) by acquiring a 16.7 per cent direct stake in the Company and establishing a joint venture (Fibre JV) to rollout open-access fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) networks in the US.
Thompson Street Capital Partners (TSCP), a private equity firm based in St Louis, has acquired Vector Laboratories, the Protein Detection business unit of Maravai (NASDAQ: MRVI).  Vector Laboratories is a manufacturer of labelling and visual detection reagents for life science researchers doing tissue-based protein detection and characterisation. EnteroBiotix, a biopharmaceutical company developing high-diversity microbial therapeutics that enhance the gut microbiome and target multiple indications, has held the final closing of its oversubscribed USD21.5 million (GBP15.5 million) Series A financing.  The proceeds will be used to further advance the company’s microbiome drug pipeline and underpin its product development and manufacturing capabilities. Bradford Health Services, a US provider of addiction treatment programs, has acquired Cornerstone of Recovery, a Tennessee-based substance use disorder treatment provider. Bradford Health Services is backed by Centre Partners, a middle-market private equity firm focused on the consumer and healthcare sectors.
Butterfly, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm specialising in the food sector, is to partner with Chosen Foods (Chosen Foods), an industry leader and pioneer of avocado oil and creator of avocado-based kitchen staples including cooking sprays, mayonnaises, dressings, simmer sauces, guacamole, and salsa.  Butterfly will own a majority stake in the business. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The management team at musical instrument retailer GAK has completed a management buyout (MBO) following investment from Risk Capital Partners, with the support of specialist business advisory firm FRP. Brighton-based GAK was founded in 1992 by CEO Gary Marshall, and is a leading musical instrument retailer, supplying a wide range of guitars, amps, drums, keyboards and music production software. The business is now preparing for a period of growth, having been acquired by co-managing directors Max McKellar and Ian Stephens, with investment from Risk Capital Partners, which becomes the majority shareholder.
