Funds advised by KLAR Partners Limited (KLAR) have signed an agreement to acquire ISS Kanal Services, a corporate carve-out from ISS Schweiz AG and Switzerland’s leading player within UIM. The acquisition is in line with KLAR’s investment strategy to make control investments in companies providing mission critical services in resilient and growing markets. ISS Kanal Services is KLAR’s first acquisition in Switzerland.   ISS Kanal Services offers underground infrastructure maintenance services in a resilient market across eight locations in Switzerland. The company’s services consist of UIM cleaning and maintenance through flushing and inspection, as well as UIM maintenance and repair.
iCON Infrastructure Partners V1 (iCON V) has completed the acquisition of a 95 per cent interest in Wind Estate A/S (Wind Estate) from its founders Jens Petri Petersen and CEO Erik Abraham.   Abraham will remain as CEO and a 5 per cent shareholder of the Company. Wind Estate is a leading Danish independent power producer owning 282MW of operating onshore and offshore wind power generation capacity in Denmark and Scotland. Debt funding provider Frontier Development Capital Ltd (FDC) has provided GBP900,000 to support the management buy in (MBI) of Complete Electrical Solutions (UK) Limited (CES).  CES, based in Stourbridge, West Midlands, was founded in 2000 as a generalist B2B electrical contracting business. In the previous two decades, the firm has established a strong reputation for regional electrical contracting via a small, but experienced team of 12 staff.  Whilst the firm provides a broad array of electrical services, it specialises in the installation, service and maintenance of lifts, stair lifts, stair climbers and other mains powered disability devices.  The debt investment
North West based multi-family investment office, Arete, has announced that it has led an GBP11.25 million private equity investment round into consumer technology product development specialists Tactus Group, with a GBP10 million (USD13.75 million) investment.  Warrington-based Tactus is a technology expert providing multi-branded IT hardware to global retailers and the public sector. Affirma Capital has held a first close of its fifth Korea fund, Ascenta V, with an AUM of USD403 million, to invest in buyout and growth capital opportunities in emerging markets including Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Singapore-headquartered Affirma Capital is targeting a final close for Ascenta V of USD636 million by October 2021. Affirma Capital increased the fund’s target size by 40 per cent from USD455 million, despite raising funds during the pandemic, according to the firm.
