FSN Capital V has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in MHP Solution Group (MHP), a leading provider of logistics software in the DACH region, from Elvaston Capital. Existing management and current owners will re-invest alongside FSN Capital V and continue to own material stakes in the company. FSN Capital V is expected to obtain an ownership of 77 per cent in the group, with the remainder to be held by management and the seller.

Soft Tech offers a portfolio of innovative solutions to help fenestration businesses right through their life cycle, from quoting to manufacturing.

Law firm RPC has supported a significant insurance transaction advising long duration insurance investor Beat Capital Partners in its strategic partnership with Bain Capital Credit, a global credit specialist.The deal was announced on 1 September and will close once regulatory approvals have been obtained. It will create a dedicated underwriting vehicle, funded by Bain Capital Credit, which will provide capital through Syndicate 4242 to support Beat’s underwriting businesses operating in the Lloyd’s market. Bain Capital Credit will become a significant investor in Beat and will join the board of directors.

Turquoise, a London-based merchant bank specialising in energy, environment and efficiency, has announced its latest investment through Low Carbon Innovation Fund 2 (LCIF2) in Spark EV Technology. The investment, worth GBP160,000, is part of an ongoing GBP530,000 funding round for Spark EV Technology. This will support the company’s automotive market growth, assist business development efforts into China and expand its reach to European and North American customers. Harnessing live data and machine learning, Spark’s AI-based software produces highly accurate, personalised range predictions for electric vehicles.

I Squared Capital has completed the sale of Etenorte and Eteselva to Interconexión Eléctrica – ISA Peru for a USD158.5 million total cash consideration. Etenorte and Eteselva are regulated assets with over 740 kilometres of power transmission lines in Peru and were wholly owned subsidiaries of Inkia Energy, a portfolio company of I Squared Capital’s power generation and distribution facilities in nine countries across Latin America. In 2019, Etenorte and Eteselva generated approximately USD12 million in revenues.

INVL Baltic Sea Growth Fund has completed the acquisition of a stake in MBL Group (MBL), a European manufacturer of medical mobility devices, headquartered in Denmark.
Prior to the completion of this transaction, MBL was 70 per cent owned by the Lauritsen family, who founded the company in 1988, with the remaining 30 per cent ownership held by Accession Mezzanine Capital III, a fund advised by Mezzanine Management. As a result of this deal, the Fund has indirectly acquired 48 per cent of MBL while the remaining 52 per cent will continue to be owned by the Lauritsen family.
