Propeller Industries (Propeller), a provider of financial and accounting services for venture-stage companies, has secured an investment from affiliates of Newlight Partners (Newlight), a private investment firm. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Private equity group Innova Capital is to sell its 100 per stake in Trimo, a leading European producer of high quality façade and building envelope solutions, to Kingspan Group.
The parties have not disclosed the terms of the transaction.
Completion remains subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to take place during the fourth quarter of 2020.

Hg, a global software investor, partner and supporter of the expansion of global tax software provider Sovos for more than four years, is to lead a further, majority investment in the company through the Hg Saturn 2 Fund.
TA Associates, a global private equity firm with more than four decades of software investing experience, will also join as a significant minority investor to support the next wave of Sovos’ growth. Following this new investment, Sovos is poised to continue its geographic expansion, deepen its partner ecosystem, and respond rapidly to emerging tax and regulatory changes around the world.

HSBC Global Asset Management has closed its HSBC Vision Private Equity 2020 Fund at just over USD260 million.
Investors in the fund, which will invest in a number of private equity opportunities from primaries and secondaries to direct co-investments, include HSBC Private Banking and HSBC Global AM’s institutional clients.
The HSBC Vision Private Equity 2020 Fund is a continuation of last year’s programme, which raised 250 million globally. The next in the series of Vision funds is intended to launch in Q4 2020.

Baird Capital, the direct investment arm of Baird, has acquired an interest in eCube Solutions Limited (eCube), a provider of storage, disassembly and parts re-use and recycling services to global aircraft owners in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including major airlines and aircraft leasing companies.
Baird Capital’s James Benfield and Andrew Dyer will join the eCube board of directors.

AST Private Company Solutions (AST PCS) has partnered with Standish Management, a fund administration provider to private equity with over USD130-plus billion under administration. Users of PCS’s Astrella capitalisation (cap) table and ownership tracking platform will be able to integrate relevant ownership data from Astrella to Standish. Standish will use this data to support limited partner (LP) financial reporting and communications, capital calls and distributions and partnership accounting.
