Flexstone Partners has closed another vintage of its small- and middle-market private equity co-investment funds – Flexstone Partners’ Global Opportunities IV – with $790 million in capital commitments, despite “challenging global markets”.
An affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers with over $10 billion assets under management (AUM), Flexstone Partners specialises in small and mid-market global private assets. According to Flexstone, Global Opportunities IV will follow the same proven strategy and investment selection process as its predecessor funds, which are performing on or above expectations with significant risk mitigation. The fund is expected to make between 40 to 50 direct co-investments.

Aquilius Investment Partners, a Singapore based investment manager focused on secondaries in the Asia Pacific region, has held the final closing of its maiden AIP Secondary Fund I, with over US$400 million in client commitments.
Gallatin Point Capital has closed its second fund Gallatin Point Capital Partners II with $1.6 billion in capital commitments split between the fund and associated separately managed accounts, exceeding the initial target of $1.5 billion.
Gallatin says the fund received strong support from existing LPs and has further diversified its investor base with capital from new institutional investors in the US, Europe and the Middle East, including sovereign wealth and public pension funds, foundations, endowments, and family offices.

Texas-based Private investment firm Braemont Capital (Braemont) has closed its inaugural fund Braemont Partners I with approximately $525 million in total capital commitments, surpassing it initial $500 million target.
US private equity giant KKR’s co-CEOs are aiming to double earnings over the next five years, as founders Henry Kravis and George Roberts prepare to hand over control of the firm, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.
Under CEOs Joseph Bae and Scott Nuttall, who took the reins from Kravis and his cousin Roberts in late 2021, KKR has already doubled its assets to more than $500 billion over the past two years.

Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, a Los Angeles-based private investment firm, has formed Resin Solutions, which has agreed a carve-out of three product lines developed by Cray Valley, TotalEnergies’ resin production affiliate.
Pacific Avenue Capital specialises in M&A, corporate divestitures and other complex situations in mid-market companies. The investment is being deployed via Pacific Avenue Fund I, L.P.
The carve-out deal, which covers includes four production sites in the US, one production site in Italy, and global customer relationships across diversified end markets.

Bain Capital is one of several private equity firms set to bid for software and IT managed services platform provider ConnectWise, according to a report by CRN.
ConnectWise, which has more than 3,000 employees globally, was bought by private equity firm Thoma Bravo is 2019 in a deal estimated at around $1.5 billion. Six of ConnectWise’s eight board members are from Thoma Bravo.

RCP Advisors, a sponsor of private equity funds-of-funds, secondary funds, and co-investment funds focused on North American lower middle market buyouts, has held the final closing of RCP Fund XVII with approximately $328 million in aggregate commitments, exceeding its target of $300 million.
