US private equity firm Bain Capital has raised around $6 billion for what will be its fifth and largest Asia-focused fund, with a final closing expected in the next few weeks, according to a report by Reuters.
Pacific Avenue Capital Partners, a private equity firm specialising in corporate divestitures in the middle market, has held the final closing of its first fund, Pacific Avenue Fund I, which was significantly oversubscribed at its hard cap of over $500 million. 
HV Capital, an early-stage and growth venture capital investor has held the final close of HV Capital Fund IX at €710m, making it the largest fund ever raised by the firm. The fund will invest in ‘technology disruptors’ across all growth phases. 
A $12.7 billion venture capital fund set up by New York-based hedge fund Tiger Global Management in October 2021 to support tech startups, has been hit hard by a decline in tech sector valuations with the fund suffering a 20% net loss as of December last year, according to reports.
Investindustrial has held the final close of Investindustrial Growth III above its target at €1.1 billion. The fund will continue the strategy employed by Investindustrial’s previous two funds of making majority investments in European lower mid-market companies with strong internationalisation potential. Investments will predominantly focus on companies headquartered in Italy, Spain, Portugal or Switzerland.  The fund completed its first investment in Arterex, a global, buy-and-build opportunity in the manufacturing of specialty medical compounds and devices, in Q4 2022. Kian Capital Partners, a lower-middle-market focused private investment firm, has held the final closing on its latest fund, Kian Growth Partners III, which was oversubscribed at $400 million.
Investment fund
Genstar Capital, a private equity firm focused on investments in targeted segments of the financial services, healthcare, industrials, and software industries, has held the first and final closing of Genstar Capital Partners XI (Fund XI) with approximately $12.6 billion in total commitments. 
Tech investment
Global alternative investment firm TPG has held the final closing of TPG Tech Adjacencies II, the firm’s second fund for its strategy dedicated to providing flexible capital solutions to the technology industry, above treat at $3.4 billion in capital commitments.
Greycroft, a seed-to-growth venture capital firm, has raised more than $1 billion of capital commitments across two new flagship funds – Greycroft Partners VII and Greycroft Growth IV – which will look to invest in early and growth-stage enterprise and consumer businesses. The capital commitments, which bring the total raised by the company since inception to $3 billion since the company’s inception, represent a significant increase from the firm’s previous venture and growth funds. After launching its fundraising process in December, RoundShield Partners recently held a first close – believed to be around $750m – for its latest fund, Fund V, which will focus on European asset-backed special situations and distressed opportunities.
