Unigestion, an independent specialist asset manager, has completed the third closing of its direct investment vehicle, Unigestion Direct II, taking the total size of the programme to EUR375 million (EUR600 million final target size). The fund has also finalised its second investment.  In addition, the firm  the firm completed the first closing of its secondary investment vehicle, Unigestion Secondary V, with total commitments of EUR 228m (EUR700 million final target size).   The success of these closings reflects the investor appetite for exposure to direct and secondary deals at the small end of the private equity market in the current economic
Unison, a provider of procurement, supply chain, and contract management software to Federal government agencies and government contractors, has been acquired by global investment firm The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG), and Unison management. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Carlyle previously owned the business from 2005 to 2010.    Unison’s solutions help government agencies and contractors navigate the complex rules and compliance requirements of procurement and grants, program management and contract lifecycle management. Andera Partners has completed the single closing of its ActoMezz IV sponsorless mezzanine fund, exceeding its initial hard cap of EUR500 million. This new fund, raised in record time despite the Covid-19 crisis, is the largest completed to date by Andera Partners and 60 per cent bigger than the previous ActoMezz vehicle, which also saw a single closing above its initial hard cap in July 2017, at EUR315 million.  Investors in ActoMezz III showed strong support for the team and its strategy through a re-up of more than 110 per cent. Alternative Investment Fund Manager, Innvotec Limited (Innvotec), has launched a Female Ventures Fund (FVF) to invest exclusively in UK female founded or co-founded enterprises. Innvotec is also aiming to encourage more women to invest in start-ups and early stage businesses.   Less than 1 per cent of VC investment goes to all-female founded enterprises. The FVF aims to tackle this funding gap by focussing on carefully selected, early-stage businesses founded and co-founded by women. Following the completion of a voluntary tender offer period, Valorous Asia Holdings, an entity owned by KKR investment funds, has accepted all of the 427,041,291 common shares of First Gen Corporation that were tendered by shareholders at the close of the tender offer, representing approximately 11.9 per cent of First Gen’s outstanding common shares.The Offeror intends to acquire all of these tendered common shares at a price of (USD0.45) per common share on 1 July, 2020, the cross date previously set out in the Offeror’s tender documents, representing a total investment value of (USD192.2 million).
