Eurazeo has held the first close of the Eurazeo Transition Infrastructure Fund (ETIF) at €210 million in capital commitments from the European Investment Fund (EIF), which has made a cornerstone €75 million investment, and a range of other institutional investors. An increase in allocations to alternative investments by US public pensions over the the past two decades may have helped reduce volatility, but may not have boosted overall returns, according to a report by Pensions & Investments Online.
Co-investment deal
HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets investment specialist, has held the final close of its sixth co-investment fund, HarbourVest Partners Co-Investment Fund VI, which closed above its $3.5 billion target at $4.2 billion, including the General Partner commitment.
The Rohatyn Group, a specialised global asset management firm focused on investment solutions in emerging markets and real assets, is to acquire Ethos Private Equity – an alternative asset management firm in Africa.
