With a target of $20 billion, software investments firm Vista Equity Partners is seeking the third largest amount of capital among private equity funds in market, for its latest flagship fund, according to a report by Private Equity International. Carlyle Group is targeting at least $1.6 billion for a second private equity fund which will focus on investments in renewable energy and sustainability assets, according to a report by Reuters.  The report cutes sources familiar with the matter as saying that Carlye began raising capital for Carlyle Renewable & Sustainable Energy Fund II earlier this year, which it  achieves its target size, will be twice the size of its $800 million predecessor fund. Qualitas Energy, a global investment and management platform focused on renewable energy, energy transition and sustainability investments, has held the first close of its flagship fund QE V, which has a target size of €1.6 billion, at more than €1.1 billion.  This equals the entire fund size of QE IV and makes QE V one of the biggest renewable energy funds in Europe.   QE V will primarily invest across Germany, the UK, Spain, Italy, and Poland, targeting renewable energy assets in operation and under development, including assets with repowering potential, and infrastructure projects enabling the energy transition, such as

Golding Capital Partners has secured capital commitments of €75 million at the first closing of its inaugural dedicated co-investment fund in the private credit asset class. Golding Private Debt Co-Investment 2021, which has a target volume of €200 million, gives institutional investors access to a broadly diversified range of conservative direct lending transactions. European software investment firm Round2 Capital has held the first close of its second software lending fund with €62 million, expanding its total assets-under-management to €115 million. Round2 Capital is a pan-European software lending firm applying an actively managed revenue-based credit strategy and has invested in more than 25 companies throughout eight European jurisdictions. Luxembourg-based Round2 Capital Fund II continues to apply the same successful strategy as Round2 Capital’s fully invested first software lending fund and has a target of €100 million. CalPERS made commitments of up to $15.2 billion to new and existing alternative investment strategies in Q3 2022, including a $1.5 billion commitment to Tower Bridge Infrastructure Partners, a private equity infrastructure fund managed by Global Infrastructure Partners, according to a report by Pension & Investments Online.
The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, made a total of $2.9 billion in commitments to alternative investments during the third quarter of the year.
