Operations-focused private equity firm Industrial Opportunity Partners (IOP), has closed its fourth fund, Industrial Opportunity Partners IV (Fund IV), with $650 million of committed capital.
IOP achieved its hard cap for Fund IV, exceeding Fund IV’s original target of $600 million. Investors include university endowments, insurance companies, pension plans, and funds-of-funds.
Founded in 2005, IOP focuses on acquiring and overseeing middle-market manufacturing and value-added distribution businesses with revenues typically between $50 million and $500 million. IOP primarily targets North American businesses with strong product, customer, and market positions that can benefit from the operating capabilities provided by IOP.

Horizon Capital has raised $250 million at the first close of its Ukraine-focused Horizon Capital Growth Fund IV – 50% of its $250 million target.

Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has held the initial closing of its latest private equity fund with around $10 billion in capital commitments, according to a report by Private Equity News.

Starburst Ventures, a first venture capital firm dedicated to investing across aviation, space, and defence, has launched a new early-stage fund.
Focusing on aerospace, defence, and security, as well as enabling sciences and technologies, Starburst Ventures is investing in the next generation of industrial, software and hardware companies.

Alantra and Enagás, through its affiliate Enagás Emprende, have held the final close of their oversubscribed Energy Transition Fund, Klima Energy Transition Fund (Klima), with €210 million in commitments, above the fund’s initial target of €150 million.
The European Investment Fund, which is a part of the European Investment Bank Group, committed €30 million. Other commitments to the Fund include institutional investors, energy-related companies, public and European institutions, and family offices.
Alantra and its shareholders, Enagás, and the investment team have made a significant joint commitment of approximately €50 million to the fund.
