Genstar Capital Promotes Roman Margolin and Eli Weiss to VP

Genstar Capital, LLC, a middle market private equity firm that focuses on investments in selected segments of the life sciences, healthcare, financial services, software, and industrial technology industries, has promoted Roman A Margolin and Eli P Weiss as vice presidents of the firm. Both were previously senior associates of the firm.

Jean-Pierre L Conte, Chairman and Managing Director of Genstar, said: "Roman and Eli have demonstrated themselves as valued members of the Genstar team and we will continue to rely on them to help identify, evaluate and execute acquisition and investment opportunities. It is important that we continue to develop our talent within the firm and we look forward to the continued contributions of both individuals in their expanded roles."

Prior to joining Genstar, Margolin was an associate with Willis Stein & Partners, where he focused on investments in education, media, and healthcare sectors. Previously, he was an Analyst in the investment banking group of JP Morgan in Chicago. He earned an MBA from Stanford University and received a BA in Economics (summa cum laude) from Case Western Reserve University. Margolin serves on the boards of Genstar portfolio companies Granite Global Solutions, Netsmart Technologies and PRA International.

Prior to joining Genstar, Weiss was an Associate at Hellman & Friedman LLC. Previously, he worked for Greenhill & Co in New York as an Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions, Restructuring and Principal Investing groups. He earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Weiss serves on the board of Genstar portfolio company Evolution Benefits.
