Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR), the global investment firm, has launched Alternatives Unlocked, a digital platform that hosts educational content for financial advisors and individual investors, including macroeconomic insights and investment perspectives across private equity, infrastructure, real estate, and credit asset classes.
According to a press release quoting Eric Mogelof, Partner and Global Head of Global Client Solutions at KKR, creation of the platform was driven by a knowledge gap around the alternatives landscape that “has long served as a barrier for individuals’ access to private markets”.
Some 81% of financial professionals agree that offering opportunities in alternatives investment is a competitive differentiator, according to a Cerulli Associates survey, but only 1.4% of the estimated $192tn in the wealth sector globally was allocated to alternative asset classes in 2022, according to research from PwC and McKinsey.
Alternatives Unlocked is currently available globally to financial professionals.
