Lonsdale Capital Partners backs property consultancy GIA

Lonsdale Capital Partners (Lonsdale), the private equity firm focused on the lower mid-market in the UK and Ireland, has made an investment in GIA, a tech-enabled property consultancy that provides bespoke solutions to clients across a range of sectors.

GIA, which specialises in rights of light, daylight and sunlight, wind analysis, as well as building consultancy, measured survey and neighbourly matters, has over 130 employees led by CEO Sam Wallis, and operates from offices across the UK and Republic of Ireland (London, Manchester, Belfast, Dublin and Bristol). As part of the deal, GIA founder, Gordon Ingram, will become the Company’s Chairman while Lonsdale’s David Gasparro and Stefan Smith will join the company’s board.

GIA’s offering is underpinned by its proprietary technology platform, Phoenix, which enables complex analysis of daylight, sunlight and overshadowing to be undertaken rapidly, saving time and money.

Lonsdale has recently executed buy-and-build and roll-out strategies for consulting firms P2 Consulting and Infrata, and will assist GIA as it looks to scale beyond the UK and Republic of Ireland into other service lines, such as wind and solar analysis, and other regions.
