The Duncan & Todd Group, the leading optical provider in Scotland, has secured a GBP15 million investment from the Scottish office of LDC, the UK’s leading mid-market private equity investor, to accelerate its growth strategy. NRT Technology Corp (NRT) has acquired the assets of privately held OfferCraft, a software company that uses artificial intelligence and gamification to drive loyalty, engagement and revenue. Terms of the agreement are not disclosed. Prestige Funds’ Luxembourg-domiciled direct lending fund, Commercial Finance Opportunities (CFO), has passed USD100 million in assets under management. The fund draws on the expertise of a large commercial direct lending team composed of almost 100 personnel. The value of regulated funds being administered in Jersey rose to a record level of almost GBP300 billion at the end of 2017 driven primarily by a rise in private equity business. Mayfair based private equity firm IW Capital has just completed its latest deal with Elevation Financial Group (EFG) – an acquisitive independent financial advisory firm which has to date completed nine acquisitions in the Birmingham to London corridor.
