Frontenac, a Chicago-based private equity firm, is to sell AH Harris Construction Supplies, a leading distributor of specialty construction products, to HD Supply Holdings, Inc. BaltCap and other minority shareholders have sold 100 per cent of the shares in Magnetic MRO, a full-service aircraft maintenance company headquartered in Tallinn, to Guangzhou Hangxin Aviation Technology (Hangxin) for EUR43 million. Progressio SGR, a Milan-based Italian mid-market private equity investment specialist, has held the first close of Progressio Investimenti III with EUR86 million of total commitments and and over 50 per cent re ups from Fund II. Brookfield Asset Management has held the final close on the Brookfield Infrastructure Debt Fund (BID) with aggregate equity commitments of approximately USD885 million, exceeding its target of USD700 million.  BID is Brookfield’s first investment vehicle focused on infrastructure debt, targeting mezzanine debt investments in high-quality core infrastructure assets primarily in North America, as well as in South America, Australia, and Europe. A total of 106 companies floated on the London Stock Exchange’s markets in 2017, raising GBP15 billion, an increase of 63 per cent by number of IPOs and up 164 per cent by value of IPOs compared to 2016.  London Stock Exchange has surpassed all European exchanges this year by number of IPOs and money raised, ranking second globally by money raised.
