The Russia-China Investment Fund (RCIF) – established by the Russian Direct Investment Fund and China Investment Corporation – has made an investment in Zhaogang, the largest e-commerce steel distribution platform in China. Founded in 2012, Zhaogang is a digital B2B platform that brings together steel producers and consumers in China. Private equity firm Thoma Brava has closed a strategic growth investment in Riskonnect, a provider of Integrated Risk Management technology solutions. As part of the agreement, Riskonnect’s three founders will retain a significant minority stake in the business. Peer-to-peer lending platform ViaInvest has reached the milestone of EUR10 million loans funded just seven months after launching.
