Private equity firm Beaubridge is leading a GBP2.5 million investment in Florismart, an online marketplace connecting florists throughout Europe.
Beaubridge has chosen CoInvestor to make this EIS investment opportunity available to investors to access directly and invest in online.
The Florismart platform is designed to allow florists to come together to create a competitive marketplace between suppliers resulting in greater product choice and improved prices for the florists with all their purchases delivered direct to their premises overnight. KKR and CDPQ have teamed with employees of USI Insurance Services to acquire the US insurance brokerage and consulting firm.
As partners with equal ownership, KKR and CDPQ will acquire USI from Onex Corporation and its affiliates in a transaction that values USI at USD4.3 billion.
With more than 4,400 professionals operating out of 140 local offices throughout the US, USI delivers property and casualty, employee benefits, personal risk and retirement solutions.

Italian private equity firm Progressio SGR has sold its majority stake in the Duplomatic group, a Milan-headquartered provider of hydraulic components and systems.
In fewer than four years of Progressio ownership, Duplomatic increased both revenues and EBITDA by approximately 50 per cent each. The enterprise value at closing was EUR69 million.
Progressio acquired a majority (86 per cent) stake in Duplomatic Oleodinamica, the operating holding, in April 2013 from Axa Private Equity (the remaining 14 per cent was held by the management team). At the time of the acquisition, the group also held US company Continental Hydraulics, and had
HIG Bayside Capital (Bayside), the distressed debt and special situation affiliate of private equity firm HIG Capital, is to sell the Beauty Bell Chain (Bodybell) following a restructuring of the company’s operations, to Douglas, a European retailer in the selective beauty market.
Bodybell, founded in the 1970s, is a distributor of perfumery and household products in Spain. The company’s product range comprises selective and mass-market beauty as well as personal and home care products.
Bayside acquired control of Bodybell through a complex financial restructuring that resulted in a debt-for-equity swap in 2015. Bayside also underwrote a new money facility
TTV Capital has held the final close of TTV Fund IV at USD93 million, well over two times the size of Fund III.
TTV added several new limited partners, including a sovereign wealth fund, endowments, foundations, family offices, Invest Georgia, and strategic investors.

Onlineprinters, one of Europe's largest B2B online printing companies, is to acquire Solopress.
Solopress was founded in 2004 and has grown significantly in recent years reaching 225 employees in 2016.
Solopress’ founders Aron Priest and Andy Smith will continue to lead Solopress as managing directors and become shareholders of Onlineprinters Group.
Last year Bregal Unternehmerkapital became the new majority shareholder of Onlineprinters partnering with Project A and founder Walter Meyer to lead the company to its next phase of growth.
The parties involved in the acquisition have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction.
In
Pan-African law firm Bowmans has advised Helios Credit Partners on one of the first significant financings by a private credit fund in sub-Saharan Africa.
The transaction was one of the largest debt financings secured by a Namibian company in the private sector.
The loan, of up to USD40 million, was made available to Trustco Group through funds advanced by Helios Investment Partners through its direct lending platform, Helios Credit Partners.
Trustco is a Namibian-based conglomerate with operations in the real estate, insurance, microfinance, retail, banking and education sectors. The loan will be used to capitalise the growth of
Blockchain Capital, a venture capital firm investing in blockchain technology companies, is to raise its third fund via a combination of a traditional limited partnership called Blockchain Capital III and an additional fund offered via a digital token called the BCAP.
In line with its strategy to drive innovation based on blockchain technology, the partners decided to pursue a parallel offering of Ethereum-based tokens, issued by a Singapore entity, which would represent an evergreen fractional ownership in a new fund called Blockchain Capital III Digital Liquid Venture Fund.
