Funds advised by Cinven, Permira and Mid Europa are to acquire Polish online marketplace Allegro Group from Naspers for USD3.253 billion.  Established in 1999, Allegro has more than 20 million registered users who carry out 14 million transactions monthly.   In addition, the group operates Ceneo, a price comparison platform in Poland.   It is headquartered in Poznan, Poland and employs 1,275 people.   David Barker, partner at Cinven, says: “Allegro is a great business. European jewellery retailer Thom Europe has acquired Stroili in Italy and is in the process of acquiring another jewellery chain in Germany. Stroili, which has over 370 stores and sales of EUR213 million, was acquired from a shareholder consortium led by Investindustrial and L Catterton (formerly L Capital) and including 21 Investimenti, Ergon Capital, Wise and Neuberger Berman.   Thom Europe is also in the process of buying the German jewellery chain Oro Vivo from Christian Bernard, providing it with a foothold in the German market. Oro Vivo reported sales of EUR18 million in 2015 and has 38 sales outlets.
Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors has held the final close of its latest energy-focused private equity fund, Kayne Anderson Energy Fund VII, at its hard cap of approximately USD2 billion in limited partner commitments. The fund will continue Kayne Anderson’s strategy of partnering with management teams focused on the upstream oil and gas sector of North America.   The fund exceeded its fundraising target with strong support from both existing investors and new clients.   The fund is part of Kayne Anderson’s energy private equity practice that has raised nearly USD8 billion since inception.   “We greatly appreciate the trust and

Xaxis is a wholly owned operating company of WPP, the world's largest communications services group with offices in 113 countries.   Triad manages and delivers full-service creative, data and production digital media advertising campaigns to connect with shoppers at point-of-sale. Man Group plc has acquired Aalto Invest Holding AG and launched a new ‘private markets offering’, Man Global Private Markets,  designed to offer longer term investments and complement their existing products. Man defines private markets as real estate, credit and infrastructure.  Founded in 2010 by Mikko Syrjänen and Petteri Barman, USD1.7 billion Aalto specialises in the management of real estate equity and debt strategies including direct investments in single family homes in the US and lending to commercial and residential real estate in Europe and the US. AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has acquired a 958 hectare forest known as “Domaine de Saint Augustin” in the Allier and Cher departments, France, for EUR21.5 million from a private vendor. The transaction has been undertaken on behalf of an AXA Insurance Company and brings AXA IM – Real Assets’ total forestry assets under management to circa EUR130 million, comprising circa 21,000 hectares.   The forest is located adjacent to the forest of Tronçais, which is renowned for producing some of the highest quality oak wood for planks and barrels, is well connected by roads and is in close
Monroe Capital has held the final close of Monroe Capital Private Credit Fund II with USD800 million of limited partner commitments, eclipsing the fund’s target of USD600 million. Investec Corporate & Acquisition Finance, KBC and Rabobank have jointly provided debt finance facilities to support Waterland’s acquisition of a stake in energy supplier Scholt. The acquisition is being made alongside the original founder, Jan Scholt, and Scholt’s management.   The deal marks Investec’s eighth recent financing transaction in the Benelux region.
