Chicago-based Waterton and New York-based Park Madison Partners have held the final close of Waterton Residential Property Venture XII with USD511 million of equity committed.
Venture XII will pursue a value-add investment strategy focused on multifamily properties in the top 12-15 markets throughout the United States. Venture XII’s investor base includes a broadly diversified mix of new and existing investors.
For Waterton, Venture XII marks the latest in a series of multifamily investment vehicles stretching back to 1995. The firm had previously worked with Park Madison Partners to raise Venture XII’s predecessor vehicle, Waterton Residential Property Venture XI, which
Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners (AIP) has raised over USD1 billion in commitments for Private Markets Fund VI (PMF VI), which will combine primary funds, co-investments and secondaries in one portfolio of private equity investments.
The capital raise, which is now complete, exceeded AIP’s initial USD750 million target.

The Catalyst Capital Group has received more than USD1.5 billion (CAD2.0 billion) in capital commitments to its most recent fund, Catalyst Fund Limited Partnership V, surpassing its target of USD1.25 billion and its hard cap of USD1.5 billion.
Fund V, which was oversubscribed, received strong backing from a diverse group of investors, including public and corporate pensions, university endowments, foundations, family offices, and financial institutions located across the US, Europe, Canada and Asia. AtlanticPacific Capital served as global placement agent, and Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP served as legal advisor.

Ogier in Jersey has acted on the formation of Validis Holdings Limited, a newly formed company backed by Don Robert and Pollen Street Capital, on the acquisition of the business and assets of Future Route Limited, trading as Validis.
Validis is a financial data transmission software that serves global accountancy firms, financial institutions and commercial businesses. Following the transaction Validis will continue to develop its software and support its global base of existing customers and will expand its offering into new geographies and customer groups.
