Palatine Private Equity has completed the management buyout of Vernacare, the UK’s market leading provider of single use infection control systems to the healthcare sector. This is Palatine’s first deal from the GBP220m Fund III which closed in June this year. Based in Bolton, Vernacare employs over 200 staff across the UK and North America and sells to a varied customer base in more than 50 countries worldwide.   The company manufactures and supplies a range of products including the Vernacare system, which is the most widely adopted single-use disposable system in the UK healthcare market. KKR is to acquire a majority stake in Selecta Group (Selecta) from Allianz Capital Partners ACP. The transaction is subject to, among other things, the consent of Selecta’s bondholders. eMoov, the online UK estate agency, is celebrating a successful crowdfunding campaign after raising GBP2,615,530, more than two and half times its target. eMoov launched the six-week fundraising campaign on the crowdfunding platform Crowdcube on 1 September and had initially targeted GBP1m for 5% equity in the company.   The figure achieved by eMoov was Crowdcube’s highest share equity raise for a property tech business and the second highest for a tech company behind JustPark who raised GBP3.7m in March.   With investments ranging from GBP10 to GBP500,000, money was raised from 795 individual investors, including VC investment from Episode 1 Ventures, Maxfield Capital Partners and

CreditEase China has held the first close of CreditEase Israel Innovation Fund (CEIIF), the firm’s first Israel-focused venture-capital/private-equity fund, at USD30 million.
