The Edmond de Rothschild is looking to bolster its private equity offer, with the objective of increasing assets under management by more than 50 per cent over the next two years. As part of this strengthened commitment to private equity, the Group is launching ERES III, a new fund dedicated to global growth strategies, in the coming weeks. Aberdeen Asset Management  has held the final closing of private equity fund FLAG Private Equity VI (FPE VI) with USD295 million in committed capital, USD70 million above the Fund’s target. This is the first fund closing announced since the completion of Aberdeen’s acquisition of FLAG Capital Management last month, and the second consecutive private equity fund by the same team that closed above its target.   FPE VI will invest in a strategically concentrated portfolio of lower-middle market, US-based private equity funds that are often difficult for investors to identify, diligence and access. Noerr has advised the Swedish company QMATIC on a strategic investment in the German market. The provider of customer flow management systems is acquiring NetCallUp Software GmbH from Bocholt. The company offers a software-based queue management system called NetCallUp to provide efficient management of visitor flows. The system ensures organised execution of client services in customer waiting areas. With this transaction, QMATIC has been able to enter the German market with the assistance of Noerr.
Five Arrows Principal Investments (FAPI), the corporate private equity business of Rothschild Merchant Banking, has completed the final closing of Five Arrows Principal Investments II, its second European lower mid-market private equity fund. The fund size of FAPI II has been increased from the original target of EUR700 million to EUR775 million due to significant over-subscription by investors.   A significant majority of limited partner commitments originated from existing investors in Five Arrows Principal Investments I (FAPI I) and other Rothschild Merchant Banking funds. Lighthouse Funds has closed its most recent mid market private equity fund, India 2020 Fund II, in June 2015 with aggregate commitments of USD138 million, well over its targeted size of USD125 million.
