VU Compare, a vehicle finance and insurance comparison site, has secured GBP70,000 in pre-seed capital to support product development and marketing, ahead of its official launch later this year.

North West-based corporate finance boutique Rickitt Mitchell has acted as financial advisor to commercial cleaning provider AM Services Group (AMSG) on sale to facilities and property managed services provider Pinnacle Group (Pinnacle).
The acquisition will extend Pinnacle’s service capacity, technical skill set and expert knowledge across new FM sectors, including retail, manufacturing and chemical industries.
With AMSG headquartered in Lancashire, the acquisition also enhances Pinnacle’s ability to deliver holistic seamless services to a broader range of communities in accordance with their commitment to community stewardship.

O2 Investment Partners has partnered with Capital Construction and its CEO, Andy Oakes, to support the company’s rapid growth. Terms of the investment have not been disclosed.
Founded by Oakes in 2011, Capital Construction (Capital) is a provider of roof replacement and other exterior restoration services to single-family and multi-family residential customers. Capital focuses on restoring properties that have been damaged by hail and/or wind and guides its customers through the complex construction and insurance processes with a high-touch, tech-enabled approach that is a true differentiator in the fragmented roofing landscape.

It brings Permutive’s total funding raised to date to USD105 million, with previous investors EQT Ventures, Octopus Ventures, and ACE & Company also participating. The funding will enable Permutive to grow its patented on-device technology and scale its Audience Platform to create a global privacy-first infrastructure for programmatic advertising, now a USD155 billion industry.

HIG Capital (HIG) portfolio company, USALCO has completed a merger with G2O Technologies (G2O), a portfolio company of Arsenal Capital Partners (Arsenal). Ken Gayer, the current USALCO CEO, will lead the new company which will continue to bear the name USALCO.
The USALCO and G2O merger creates one of North America’s leading water treatment chemical producers with 27 sites extending from California to Puerto Rico. The combined company will have in-house transportation capabilities and offer a range of products, including aluminium and iron salts, organic polymers, and specialty blended formulations.

Nauta Capital, the pan-European Venture Capital firm investing in capital-efficient B2B software companies, has made the final close of its oversubscribed fifth fund at EUR190 million.
With a EUR120 million first closed in 2020 – at the height of global pandemic – the fund’s final close brings the firm’s assets under management to EUR550+ million, making Nauta one of Europe’s largest venture capital firms specialising in B2B startups.
Simultaneously fundraising and investing, Nauta has invested in 11 companies across Europe from the new fund since its launch.

Fintso, the new age B2B2C WealthTech platform, has announced the acquisition of WealthMagic – a SaaS provider in the wealth management space.
The specific financials of the deal remain undisclosed although it is a part-equity and part-cash transaction. The acquisition by Fintso is aimed towards extending its platform to reach the next billion investors in India by equipping and providing multi-product solutions to the distributors who are key to this wave of financial inclusion.

Prepaid Technologies, a Birmingham, Alabama-based provider of prepaid digital payment solutions, has raised USD96 million in new growth financing in a funding round led by Edison Partners, a growth equity firm.
StepStone Group (which recently acquired venture capital platform Greenspring Associates) co-led, while Stifel Venture Bank, a Division of Stifel Bank, and Top Tier Capital Partners also participated. The company will use the proceeds to accelerate its market expansion and continue to advance its category-leading technology payments platform and customer-focused prepaid solutions.

Len The Plumber (LTP), a full-service residential plumbing company headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, and a portfolio company of St Louis-based private equity firm Thompson Street Capital Partners, has completed the acquisition of Service Today, Heating & Cooling Company (Service Today).
Service Today is a full-service provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, electrical and indoor air quality services located in Federalsburg, Maryland. Service Today was founded in 2000 and serves the Eastern shore of Maryland and Delaware across 5 locations. Service Today’s founder, Ed Collier, currently spends several months away from the business and plans to fully retire after a 6-month transition.
Arsenal Capital Partners (Arsenal), a private equity firm specialising in building healthcare businesses, has acquired Guidemark Health (Guidemark), a healthcare marketing communications, training, and medical education agency. Guidemark is the third acquisition for Arsenal’s Value Demonstration organisation, following the acquisitions of BresMed Health Solutions and Cello Health plc (Cello Health) in 2020.
