Private investment firm GI Partners has acquired a controlling interest in LightEdge, a provider of colocation, cloud and managed service solutions.   GI Partners’ investment will support and accelerate the growth of LightEdge. GI Partners has invested extensively in infrastructure companies and properties underpinning the digital economy for 20 years. CDC Group, the UK’s development finance institution (DFI) and impact investor, has made a USD60 million commitment under its African Private Credit Fund Strategy, which aims to address a significant credit market dislocation and mid-market financing gap, a situation intensified by the Covid-19 crisis. CDC’s latest commitment covers two investments: a USD30 million investment in Vantage Mezzanine Fund IV which is managed by Vantage Capital, an established pan-African fund manager; and a USD30 million cornerstone investment in BluePeak Private Capital Fund I, BluePeak’s maiden fund. Belfast-based livestock monitoring technology company, CattleEye, has secured USD2.5 million in seed investment. 
Victory Capital Holdings’ wholly owned operating subsidiary Victory Capital Management Inc is to acquire 100 per cent of New Energy Capital Partners (NEC). NEC will become Victory Capital’s 11th Investment Franchise and represents the Company’s first Franchise focusing exclusively on alternative investments. Founded in 2004 and based in Hanover, New Hampshire, NEC is a leading alternative asset management firm focused on debt and equity investments in clean energy infrastructure projects and companies. Paragon Metals (Paragon) has completed a new investment by affiliates of Stellex Capital Management (Stellex), a middle market private equity firm.  This additional investment by Stellex follows its purchase of Paragon in early 2019, at which time Stellex committed to provide capital to support additional growth. Following the investment, Paragon will have an underleveraged balance sheet and significant liquidity. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
