Bitwise Asset Management, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency index fund managers, has raised USD70 million in a Series B funding round led by Elad Gil and Electric Capital.

Bertram Capital (Bertram) has closed the Bertram Growth Capital IV, & Bertram Growth Capital IV-A (collectivelyBGC IV), with USD940 million of total capital commitments, significantly above its initial hardcap of USD800 million and 80 per cent above the predecessor fund.
The new fund will continue Bertram’s proprietary buy and build strategy, anchored by Bertram Labs, the firm’s in-house technology enablement team. PROfounders Capital, an early stage venture capital investor, has welcomed the successful pricing of online furniture retailer Made.com ahead of its IPO on the London Stock Exchange, which will deliver a 25x return for PROfounders’ investors.
PROfounders’ investment in Made.com will also deliver another fund returner for investors, with proceeds exceeding the size of the firm’s first fund.

Princeton Equity Group, a Princeton, NJ and Dallas, TX-based private equity firm focused on control investments in franchisor and multi-unit companies, has held the final closing of its inaugural fund, Princeton Equity Partners I, with more than USD350 million in total commitments, surpassing its initial USD250 million target.
The fund exceeded its hard cap and was oversubscribed. Investors include US and non-US-based endowments, foundations, insurance companies, public pensions, fund-of-funds, asset managers, and family offices.

European private equity firm PAI Partners (PAI) is in final negotiations for the acquisition of SGD Pharma, a leading global manufacturer of primary glass packaging for the pharmaceutical industry, by China Jianyin Investment Ltd (JIC).
NorthEdge has sold a majority stake in Orbis Protect (Orbis), a leading provider of critical security services to the UK vacant property sector, to growth investor Synova.
The deal delivers a strong return for the lower mid-market private equity specialist and includes a material reinvestment into Orbis from NorthEdge’s Fund II alongside Synova.
