9 Basil, which first acquired its stake in Alpha Capital in 2019, is an independent funds management business with a Southeast Asian private equity platform that places a unique emphasis on Thailand. 9 Basil is focused on private markets and boasts an active portfolio management strategy to derive synergies between the managing partners, limited partners and BPF’s wider network.

London-based fintech LemonEdge (formerly LemonTree Software), has secured funding of USD2.5 million in a heavily oversubscribed fundraising round led by Sidekick Partners, a venture firm with deep ties to the North American private equity industry. Sidekick Partners is joined in this round by investors Tikhon Bernstam, founder of Parse and Scribd, and Lauren Iaslovits, founder of Investran and a pioneer of private capital market technologies.

Mid-market investor Palatine Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in FourNet, the award-winning digital transformation and customer experience specialists with clients including 10 Downing Street, the Cabinet Office, HM Treasury and the Bank of England.
Headquartered in Manchester, and with offices in London and Burton-on-Trent, FourNet has annual revenues of GBP38 million and employs more than 100 people. The company has around 200 customers, with a significant number in the public sector.

NPIF – Maven Equity Finance, managed by Maven Capital Partners (Maven) and part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) has invested GBP750,000 in Blueberry Therapeutics Limited (Blueberry), a drug discovery and development company focused on developing innovative nanomedicines for difficult to treat skin and nail infections.
