3i Group (3i Group) is to acquire USD120 million of equity in Wilson Human Capital Group (WilsonHCG), a specialist in talent solutions.

Cambridge GaN Devices (CGD) has raised USD9.5 million in Series A funding. The investment was co-led by IQ Capital, Parkwalk Advisors and BGF, and includes investment from Foresight Williams, Cambridge Enterprise, Martlet Capital, Cambridge Angels and Cambridge Capital Group.  The funding will be used by CGD to expand its product portfolio of energy-efficient power devices and to double the size of its team. CGD was spun out of the renowned power device group at the Engineering Department of the University of Cambridge in 2016 to exploit a revolutionary technology in power devices, a market worth in excess of $30 billion.The
3t Energy Group has exchanged contracts with Petrofac on a major transformational acquisition for the purchase of its UK training centres. The purchase includes Petrofac’s Survival and Marine, Health and Safety, Fire, and Major Emergency Management capability and facilities in Scotland. The value of the acquisition is undisclosed. The purchase adds Marine training and further Major Emergency Management capabilities to the Group, extending its capability to service customers’ needs. 3t Energy will now become a supplier to Petrofac for its in-person UK training requirements, which consolidates it as the UK’s largest provider of global energy training services. A new Irish financial services bill, which has been in the works for over five years, is expected to create 3,000 jobs by 2025, while attracting up to EUR20 billion per annum in global private capital, says Irish Funds.
The Kempen European Private Equity Fund has backed the senior management team at construction software company Eque2 to acquire the business from its existing shareholders. Eque2 supplies business management software to more than 2,700 customers in the construction, housebuilding and contracting industries. Its software enables builders, contractors, architects, engineers and estimators to integrate the commercial and financial aspects of their business, driving efficiencies and ultimately improving profitability. Evox Therapeutics (Evox), an exosome therapeutics company, has raised GBP69.2 million (USD95.4 million) in a Series C financing round. The financing was significantly oversubscribed with high demand from both existing and new investors. The Series C financing was led by Redmile Group who were joined by new investors OrbiMed and Invus. In addition to Redmile, all existing Series B investors reinvested, including major investors Oxford Sciences Innovation (OSI), GV (formerly Google Ventures) and Cowen Healthcare Investments. Eurazeo has sold part of its stake in iM Global Partner to IK Investment Partners and Luxempart, subject to the approval of the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers and the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier.  This comes after iM Global Partner, a global network dedicated to asset management, increased its assets under management by 65 per cent – of which 46 per cent was organic growth – to more than USD19 billion in the year to end December 2020.
