Ally.io, a hypergrowth technology company specialising in goal-setting and business execution software, has closed a USD50 million (GBP36.5 million) Series C funding round led by Greenoaks Capital.  Tiger Global, which led the company’s Series B round, and Madrona Venture Group also joined the round, as well as previous investors Accel, Addition Ventures, Founders’ Co-Op, and Vulcan Capital.    With this funding, Ally.io has raised a total of USD76 million (GBP55.4 million), making the three-year-old SaaS company the leading force in the OKR space and primed to revolutionise how companies integrate goals with every business rhythm.    The news follows the
Agronomics, a London-listed investor in alternative proteins with a focus on cellular agriculture and cultivated meat, has invested a further EUR2 million for 1,197 Preferred shares in existing investee company Meatable. The Subscription will be paid using cash from the Company’s own resources and will take Agronomics’ total cash investment in Meatable to EUR5 million.   Following the Subscription, Agronomics will hold 4,752 preferred shares in Meatable, representing an equity ownership, on a fully diluted basis, of 5.70 per cent. Advent Life Sciences has closed two new funds with commitments totalling USD215 million. Advent Life Sciences Fund III is the firm’s third dedicated life sciences venture capital fund raised from new Limited Partners (LPs), including British Patient Capital, as well as existing LPs. London based Lingerie and swimwear business, Playful Promises, has secured an investment from Bestport Private Equity to finance its fast-growing brands and e-commerce business.  The move comes after the website, which has locally serviced sites in UK, USA and Australia, has been experiencing rapid year on year growth. This year they are expecting to report 70 per cent growth across the whole of their e-commerce network. Canadian private equity firm Novacap has closed Novacap TMT VI (TMT VI) at USD1.865 billion, making it the largest fund raised by the firm to date. The total includes significant commitments from Novacap’s partners and employees as well as from the Novacap Executive Fund. 
Vanguard has closed the Vanguard HarbourVest 2020 Private Equity Fund, marking the firm’s one-year anniversary of entering the private equity market in partnership with HarbourVest last year.  The fund closed at nearly double its target size, securing commitments from a broad base of qualified investors. UK law firm TLT has advised longstanding client Blackfinch Energy, an investor in renewable energy and energy infrastructure products, on the acquisition of two new wind energy sites in Scotland. The two sites have been acquired through Blackfinch’s energy investment holding company Sedgwick Trading Ltd. IK Investment Partners’ (IK) IK IX Fund is to acquire a majority stake in Innovad Group (Innovad) from CEO and founder Jamal Al-Saifi. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Innovad is a global supplier of animal health and nutrition solutions, primarily targeting the pigs and poultry as well as the ruminants segment.
